In a historic and soul-stirring moment, Dr. Syed Sallauddin Pasha, the pioneer of classical wheelchair dance in India, and his specially-abled disciples delivered a mesmerizing performance at the prestigious Purple Fest 2025 held at Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Amrit Udyan. The event, organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, was a celebration of ability, diversity, and inclusion.
Dr. Pasha’s team, under his visionary choreography, presented a classical dance performance on wheelchairs that left the distinguished audience deeply moved. With each graceful movement and emotive expression, the dancers broke long-held stereotypes and powerfully conveyed that art has no boundaries—only possibilities.
The highlight of the evening was the presence of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, who watched the performance with heartfelt admiration.
